Title: [HELP] Item showcases?
Thread Modes
#1
Hello! You may see me on the server. I am Trist100. Now we all love armorstands, I love them. If you go to my world (You can come anytime) You can see i use a lot of armorstands. But i would love to see if anyone could help me make it so i could showcase or lay a item on top a crafting table or another block. Is there anyway of doing that? Thanks!

If you want to see a picture of what i mean click here!

I think you need to have a mod for that. I've never seen that happen on the server.

Well is there anyway to maybe contact one of the owners to see if players could do that?

And well no you do not need a mod. If you look up "Minecraft item showcases" They use command blocks to place a invis armorstand! But with the plugin that the server has its near impossible for that to be done.

As I told you before you can make your armorstand invisible. You need to do /help armorstand for the commands list for armorstands. You can add arms and have it hold your item and pose the arms as you need.

He is using the trapdoors so that the items wont float above the block. Maybe that helps you ^-^

As Baerchen100 referenced in an earlier post, I have done something similar to what you are referencing. Armor stands are very tricky, and you have to play around with the commands for a while to get everything just right.

You can do a lot of cool things with them, you just have to experiment with trial and error!

I made a copy of your example to show you it can be done. http://imgur.com/a/U8y3g

I love adding small details to my world with armorstands! I use them a lot in my world; here are a few examples: http://imgur.com/a/QE0qO
(note: each armor stand can take nearly 30 minutes to get just right!)
