Why you should be in our staff:
I am certain that I am deserving of the Aliquam team as a staff member due to my dedication, reliability, and passion to create and develop a positive and creative community. Apart from that, I am also a good communicator and team player, allowing me to communicate clearly and concisely with other staff members and players as well.

Being part of Aliquam makes me really feel excited due to a natural affinity towards creating a creative and supportive area. My inevitable job responsibility would be to maintain the high standards which the server and its community have set and try to help it grow in a way that could be possible.
Not only my time and skills do I intend to, but also my pure enthusiasm for maintaining and improving Aliquam’s position as a premiere Minecraft community will also be part of the contributions.

Experience if any:
As I have already been mentioned, I was a moderator on a Polish Minecraft server, which happened to be very popular. Unfortunately, the server will be closed in the near future because of the money difficulties. During the period spent there, I learned a lot about moderation, conflict solving, and dealing with the community as a result of which the server became one of the most sought-after games played by its users to have fun and the experience was lovable.

Such a situation made it possible for me to get the hands-on experience in controlling the increasing community, being fair in the rule enforcement, etc. and as a consequence to create an atmosphere in which the players could be without any bias. I’m positive that these abilities help me to contribute to and be the support of the Aliquam community.

How much time can you spend daily on watching over the server:
On some days it's going to be less, but in general, 2/3 hours per day.

Somebody's overusing capslock on the chat - what do you do:
If a player is overusing the caps lock key in the chat, I would start by politely warning them directly in the chat, reminding them of the server rules, and asking them to refrain from excessive use of caps (all caps) to make the chat more enjoyable for everyone. If they are still unwilling to comply with the advice even after the first warning and keep using their caps over and over, I could use a /tempmute command as a short-term measure to abide by the regulations and sustain an affirmative atmosphere.

Somebody's begging for rankup - what do you do:
If a player is asking for a rank-up, I would take a moment to explain the correct process for achieving a higher rank on the server. I would let them know that ranks are determined by the quality of their builds and encourage them to create something truly impressive in their world. I’d also mention that they can use the command /request rank once they feel their build meets the requirements for the next rank.

What Do You Do??:

I build on the server, I help moderate the server and when I'm not on the server I'm usually either working at my IRL job or I'm cheating on Minecraft with Roblox. Also my IRL job is working at Dunkin' (Donuts) and I'm currently being trained to become a shift lead hopefully somewhere in the near future!

Well, I am 23 years old and I am from the northeastern side of the United States. I am currently a new staff member on Aliquam, and figured I'd introduce myself even though this forum is very... very... much... dead. But, I'm here to try and help revive it!

Okay, okay... fine, since you all asked!

I am the youngest of 3 sisters and 1 brother, I have one cat and two pet rocks (lol, just kidding.. or maybe?). I enjoy listening to music, watching TV, playing Minecraft, The Sims, or Roblox... I enjoy testing my limits when it comes to anxiety since that is something I have struggled with for many years now, but I found the more I push the limits the more comfortable I get and the less anxious I am. 

I am currently attempting to re-learn German, while also potentially wanting to start learning Polish since I know a lot of the community on this server are mainly Polish-speaking and I'd just like to be able to chat with that side in the future! But not only that, I hope to be able to travel the world and learning the language/culture of the places I wish to visit would help me be able to navigate more comfortably for both me and the natives. 

I do know a small bit of Spanish, and a tiiiny bit of Korean but most of that knowledge has fallen off the wagon, unfortunately.

Besides video games and TV watching, I enjoy photography and writing. I'm currently filling a notebook up with some original stories that are all connected and it contains letters, poems written by the characters, and some small doodles to make it look like the notebook belongs to one of the characters. 

Other than that, I do enjoy spending time outside when the weather isn't super hot or super cold. I particularly love going for walks after a rainstorm and the world has that like very strong smell of nature that I honestly don't know how to explain, it just smells really good and calming to me.

Why you should be in our staff:
The reason I feel like I should be part of the staff team here on Aliquam is that I feel like I'd be able to help the server out by being a consistent mod that helps the server out on a semi-regular basis when other staff members are unable to log on to help other players. I feel like my sense of maturity has grown over the years to where I can confidently handle any problems that are thrown my way and if I need any assistance I know who to appropriately approach if necessary. I would love to be able to help players out more than I am able to as just a regular player on the server. 

Experience if any:
Minecraft-wise I actually was staff on Aliquam many years ago but stepped down due to personal issues but I'm ready to jump back in and help out again. However, going back to my experience I helped moderate the server as an assistant and even managed a few small 'raids' before having to reach out for additional staff assistance.

Besides Aliquam, I was a staff member on an old server back in 2014-2015 that has unfortunately closed down. On that server I helped ban griefers, banned people who made lag machines and also helped repeatedly ban a player who consistently tried to bypass their IP bans. 

Outside of Minecraft I have owned and moderated a few Discord servers and that allowed me to gain extra experience in handling issues from other people by appropriately muting/kicking/banning people that were causing disruption to the servers. 

Outside of the internet in general, I have worked quite a few customer service jobs where I have had to deal with issues from customers whether it was their order being made wrong, needing a refund, etc. I learned how to appropriately handle the situation in a proper, polite manner without further upsetting the customer and directed them to higher up management if needed.

No, I am not staff in any other servers.

What timezone are you living in:
I am currently living in the EST timezone.

How much time can you spend daily on watching over the server:
I do have an outside job; however, usually I am done with my job around 2p-3p EST so I'd be able to spend the rest of my afternoon/evening moderating the server. On my days off, I would be able to spend longer on the server ranging from early morning to late afternoon / late afternoon to late evening.

I was permanently October 15, 2019. Considering how long ago this was and how I do not remember what I said. I had tendencies to be a little out there as in 2019 i was younger. The mute made me leave the server for a little under two years. But as I have grown I look back at the good times I had on the server, and wish to be reconnected to the community.

The mute made me leave the server for a little under two years. But as I have grown I look back at the good times I had on the server, and wish to be reconnected to the community.

      I love helping other people and playing aliquam! It brings me joy when I make other people happy and I'd say I have pretty good people skills. I have a decent amount of experience of being staff on minecraft servers, and experience running my own too. Aliquam is the Minecraft server I play the most because I love the commands and the structure of the server, so it'd be great to help it run smoothly.
    • Experience if any:
      I owned my own server called "eightt network" late last year and early this year. ---- I was staff on a small server called "Divit's Survival Server" for around 6 months from august until it closed early this year.       If they bypassed the caps filter, I would start by giving them a warning like "hey, watch the caps". If they continued to use excessive caps then I would /warn them. If they still continued then I'd tempmute them for 2 hours.
    • Somebody's begging for rankup - what do you do:
      If someone is asking for a rankup I'd say that I can't do that and to do /modreq rank first. If they continued begging I would say no once again and if they kept continuing I'd /warn them. After that if it didn't stop I'd tempmute them for 2 hours.
    • Something about yourself, it doesn't have to be long:
      I'm a guy and I like making malls in minecraft and playing animal crossing. I like doing art / graphic design aswell Smile

    Why you should be in our staff: 
    I have a deep passion for the creative side of Minecraft and I always have done and this is one of the of the only servers I have found where there is a really good creative atmosphere. For this reason, I have decided that I would apply for a staffing position in order so I can help new players get set up and answer any questions that they might have. As well as this, I enjoy having fun with the other members on the server and I feel I can add to this immense atmosphere of fun and creativity.

    Experience if any: 
    I don't usually tend to go for Staff options as such as I usually like to achieve builder status on servers but I haven't played Minecraft on any other servers for about a year or two. On the last server I was builder on - We had the role of looking over the server when staff members werent present so we had basic commands to ensure that the server stayed positive from those who decide they want to ruin the fun.

    Are you in another servers' staff, if so where:
      Nope, this is the only server I play on.

    What timezone are you living in: 
     GMT or BST when its summer time.

    How much time can you spend daily on watching over the server: 
    Currently, I have been playing anywhere between 4 - 8 hours online and during that time I do my best to help other players out or show them inspiration if they need any and I love it.

    Somebody's overusing capslock on the chat - what do you do:  
    At first I think a warning would be needed but if it is to carry on I think a Temporary mute should solve the issue. If the player is very persistant with their overuse of caps lock I think a temporary ban should be put into place. This way I think it gives them 3 opportunities to redeem themself before they effectively shoot themselves in the foot. The mute would all the person to choose whether or not they still want to play on the server, and if they do, lets other players build in peace without the annoyance.

    Somebody's begging for rankup - what do you do: 
    A quick reminder of the rules followed by the explanation of how the process will work. Again, if they are persistant I don't think a very short temporary mute would go a miss as it allows the player to carry on building as well as the other players - Hopefully it wouldn't get to this stage as a quick reminder of the process should work a treat.

    Something about yourself, it doesn't have to be long: 
     I am very much a hobbyist... I work as a Sales Assistant in a Bicycle shop in the heart of England as that is where my passion lies... BIKES! In my day to day life, I deal with customers a lot as we engange in progressive conversations to hopefully sell a bike and a lifestyle to them. This is amazing experience for when it comes to talking to players online, understanding them and engaging with them. In my spare time, I cycle a lot but I also work on Project cars. I own a MK2 Renault Clio 182 which is my pride and joy! And finally, I have also recently graduated from college with the ambition to go into the Marketing industry within the cycling company that I curently work for.

    capslock, then that too would affect my decision. If those are not to be counted I would see how much capslock said

    verbal warning to stop using so much caps lock. If after that they keep using excessive capitalisation
    I would /warn them. If they still keep going I would /mute them for as long as the punishment for too
    much capslock is.
